These works are an examination of the absurd and unusual. I have made a comparison between everyday life and the absurd to demonstrate the absurdity of today and to challenge our concept of normal. I have drawn all the images from research and my travels through Africa, especially Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia.

The artworks are supposed to present simultaneous static and growing or organic images. I first had the idea when I was in Egypt snorkelling on the coral reefs at the red sea. I have tried to give the works the look of coral reefs as I remember them from my experiences.

The artworks for this project have to do with the futility of war and the effort and manpower wasted on making machines of war. These artworks also have an element of Soviet propaganda because I was obsessed with soviet propaganda while I made the artworks.

A collection of oil paintings concerned with colour, pattern and symmetry. I was looking at naive and flat art and wanted that effect in this project.
