.The writing at the top left is english directly translated to armharic and it reads: Job has been left to the mercy of satan.

The picture at top is a copy of a woodcut depicting the burning of a witch. The reason I used this image is because of the man's expression, the kind of cool and calm of his expression like he was doing some farm work.

The portrait at bottom left is depicting Ethel Spinelli absolutely glowing after she learned of her 30-day stay of execution. She was later sent to the gas chamber.

The large image is of a conjoined ischiopagus twins. The lower abdominal areas are fused and extremities consequently displaced laterally. The legs are clubfoot.

The writing at right bottom is latin and it means: A bad/ unfavorable condition is realized. The text reads: Condicio Mala Existet
In this series of Artworks I have played around with the aesthetics of the macabre.My main concern was to illustrate how absurd reality has been in the past.In the future when we take our own reality out of context, things will also seem absurd, even the everyday normal things. I have tried to show how normal the absurd is , when I started this project I was struck by the absurdity of all the images depicted but being subjected to them for a long period of time they have become my norm .So one could say that I have been conditioned and desensitized.
